Let Go Luke

You must learn to trust your feelings, reach out with your mind and act. We have been taught that the mind and the body are separate and are to be kept that way, but this is not true.

The delay between when the mind decides to act and when your conscience allows the body to respond leaves a space between the two objects, an unnecessary gap. This gap can be removed when you trust yourself, unify mind and body/thought and action.

Would an animal in the wild survive long with such a gap in its mind? We are greater than animals, capable of thought and reason but risk entangling ourselves in too much of it. See with all of your senses, and let the Force guide you to act powerfully and decisively in all that you do. ______________________ ‘Let go Luke’ – Obi-Wan Kenobi (combat) Do not fix your concentration on one thing, just do it. A juggler does not concentrate on each ball. Fixating on minor concerns insures you lose the greater picture.

Practice at the things in your life you need to, give your mind and body the practice they need to act together correctly the first time. This will give you the confidence needed to ‘let go’ when it is needed. Whether it be stopping an attack with Saber or bare hand, or taking charge of a situation that you need to, the confidence and swiftness born of a unified mind and body is an incredible force to stand against.

You strive to abandon reliance on your mind exclusively. By remaining peaceful, listening to your environment and the Force you will shatter the line between you and the universe. Its power and knowledge will then be yours, and yours will be the universe's. This is the way of the Jedi.
